 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. A HAJJ AGENT WAS SENTENCED TO 6 YEARS IMPRISONMENT YESTERDAY,FOR N1.5M FRAUD.{PHOTO}.

                                                              The EFCC,on 25th May 2016 secured the conviction of one Mallam Kabiru Jibrin before Justice Joseph Awak of Gombe State High Court after he was found guilty of a three count charge bordering on obtaining one million,five hhundred and sixty thousand naira {N1.560.000} by false pretence.The complainant,Aliyu Audu Awwal,had alleged that the convict defrauded him and one Mallam Hussani Kumo,of the sum of N1.560,000 on the pretext that the said amount will be used to secure Hajj seats for them which he never did but diverted the money for his personal use.Kumo also alleged that the convict collected his Honda Accord car 2005 model under the guise that he will sell the car and use the proceed to secure additional Hajj seats which he never did.
