 Peter Obi blasts Gov Alia for blocking him from visiting Benue The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has accused the Benue State Government of politicising his planned visit to internally displaced persons (IDPs) camps and health institutions in the state. In a statement shared on Monday via his official X account, Obi expressed disappointment over what he described as deliberate attempts to frustrate his humanitarian trip to Benue, lamenting what he called the growing politicisation of good causes in Nigeria. DAILY POST had exclusively reported that Alia had moved to block a planned visit by Obi to camps housing Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.                           One of the richest man in Africa,Nigerian business tycoon Aliko Dangote donates 10 million dollars to the persons displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in Borno state,Nigeria.Mr Dangote made a commitment to end malnutrition,hunger and starvation in the refugee camps and other parts of the country.Dangote said ''This is not the first time i am coming here and it will not be the last.So far,we have expended about N1.2 billion in efforts to alleviate the suffering of IDPs across Borno,Adamawa and Yobe states''.More photos below.
