 Army sergeant’s wife deported to Honduras amid Trump administration’s immigration crackdown on military families The wife of an Army sergeant and mother of a 6-year-old was deported to Honduras Monday, as the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown increasingly affects spouses and parents of active-duty military personnel. Army Sgt. Hedar Leonel Turcios Juarez confirmed that his wife, Cristy Maryori Villafranca Trejo, had been deported. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Villafranca outside a Walmart in July while the couple’s young daughter was present, according to her husband. Villafranca had left Honduras in 2016 because of violence, he said. Turcios Juarez came to the United States from Honduras in 2014 for similar reasons. After attending high school in the U.S., he joined the Army and became a U.S. citizen in 2024 following a nine-month deployment to the Middle East.                     Today wednesday,Baroness Scotland was received by The Queen of England at the Buckingham Palace,on her appointment as Commonwealth Secretary-General.Patricia Scotland will be the sixth Commonwealth Secretary-General and the first woman to take up this post.The Queen is the Head of the Commonwealth,a voluntary association of 53 independent countries.As Head,Her Majesty personally reinforces the links by which the Commonwealth joins people together from around the world.Then earlier this week Prince Harry was in Toronto to officially launch the third Invictus Games which will take place in September 2017.We'er thrilled that the Invictus story will continue and that even more wounded,injured and sick Servicemen and women will have the chance to use sport as part of their recovery.More photos below.
