  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. EDO STATE GOVERNOR,INCREASED MINIMUM WAGE FROM N18,000 TO N25,000,TODAY WORKERS DAY.

                  Today sunday,Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state,who was addressing a rally organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress {NLC} and Trade Union Congress {TUC},to mark this year's Workers Day anniversary at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin,announced an increment from the present N18,000 minimum wage to N25,000.The Governor said ''With effect from today,the new minimum wage for government workers shall now be N25,000,and the new minimum wage will cut across board''.The workers who before the annoucement,expressed dissatisfaction over the poor welfare and seeming government's insensitivity to the welfare of its workers jumped for joy and happily marched in appreciation of the new minimum wage as announced by the Governor.One more photo below.
