 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. F.G,APPROVED THE INCREASE OF PMS TO N145 PER LITRE TODAY+OIL MARKETERS CAN NOW IMPORT.

              Today wednesday,the Federal Government,approved the increase of Premium Motor Spirit {PMS} normally referred to as petrol to be sold not more than N145 per litre effective from 11th May,2016.The PPPRA will accordingly announce the new price.The product was seling for N86.50 per litre.The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources,Ibe Kachikwu disclosed this to State House correspondent at the Presidential Villa,Abuja.He said that the decision was reached at a meeting of stakeholders presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and attended by the Leadership of the Senate,House of Representatives,Governors Forum,and Labour Unions {NLC,TUC,NUPENG,and PENGASSAN}.The new pump price,Kachikwu said,was to ensure increased and stabilize quantity of the product in the country.The meeting also approved all oil marketers to import PMS into the country.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
