 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. IGP WARNS POLICEMEN AGAINST EXTORTING,HARASSMENT OVER TINTED GLASS PERMIT+EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR RE-VALIDATION.

                        As the Nigeria Police High Command extends the deadline for revalidation of tinted glass permit and firearms licence to 31st July,2016,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon E. Arase,fdc,NPM,has directed all State Commands Commissioners of Police to stay enforcement of law on tinted glass permit and firearms licence until the expiration of the deadline.The IGP,who restated that revalidation of tinted glass permit is free  of charge,warned Policemen against extortion and harassment of motorists over revalidating their permits and licences.He,therefore,urged members of the public who are yet to obtain the automated tinted glass permit and firearms licence to seize the opportunity of the extension to complete necessary formalities for them to key into the electronic platform.The IGP wishes to reassure the public of the commitment of the Force to the provision of round-the-clock security for the teeming citizens of the country.Citizens are further enjoined to continue to support and assist the Police in its constitutional task of safeguarding the nation-ACP Olabisi Kolawole,Force Public Relations Officer,Force Headquarters,Abuja.One more photo below.
