 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower.                                                         A 23 year old Nigerian student has been hit with an iron rod in a suspected racist attack in Hydeeabad,south India just days after Africans protested increasing cases of racism targeting blacks in the Asian country.Damilola Kazeem was allegedly hit by a man described as his neighbour following an argument over the use of a parking space in the area.The suspect was subsequently detained.The Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj asked local authorities to probe the matter which came on heels of African diplomats cancelling African Day celebrations.The ninstry's spokesperson tweeted ''Reports of a Nigerian student injured in Hyderabad: EAM {External Affairs Ministry } @Sushmaswaraj,has urgently sought report from state govt,is monitoring the case''.Emmanuel Omurunga,chairman of the African Students Association in the state of Telangana,said: ''The situation in India is no longer safe for us.Even the police are not willing to help us when we approach them''.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
