 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.                     A 28 year old tailor,Senami Balogun,was today fridayarraigned before a Badagry Chief Magistrates Court for allegedly pouring hot water on one Miss Tina Adamu.The accused is facing a one count charge of assault.The Prosecutor,Inspector Innocent Uko,told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 15 at the Ibereko area of Badagry.He revealed that the accused and the victim,who happened to be friends,engaged themselves in a heated argument.Uko said that the argument was over a man,adding that the accused dashed into the kitchen,brought a pot of hot water and poured it on the complainant.''The victim is currently in the hospital recuperating from the multiple injuries she sustained from the assault''The counsel to the accused,Mr Ayo Awe,pleaded with the court to grant bail to the accused since the offence was bailable.The Magistrate,Mr Abiodun Etti,granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50,00 and a surety who must provide evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.The case was adjourned till June 29 for further hearing.One more photo below.
