 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.                                                       The National portrait Gallery of which the Duchess is a Patron,has collaborated with British Vogue on a series of photographic portraits,shot by photographer Josh Olins in the Norfolk countryside.Two of the photographic portraits of The Duchess will be available for public view in Vogue 100:A Century of style from Sunday May 1.The full portfolio shoot will feature in the June centenary issue of British Vogue,available on news stands and to download on Thursday 5 May.A spokesperson for the Duchess said ''Since 1916,Vogue has been a leading champion of British portraiture.The Duchess was delighted to play a part in celebrating the centenary of an institution that has given a platform to some of the most renowned photographers in this country's history.She is incredibly grateful to the team at Vogue and at the NPG for asking her to take part''.Two of the images from the British Vogue shoot were installed this evening in the National Portrait Gallery's Vogue 100:A Century of Style.The Duchess will visit the exhibition on wednesdy 4 May and see the two portraits on display in the gallery for the first time''.More photos below.
