 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates.                                                       The National portrait Gallery of which the Duchess is a Patron,has collaborated with British Vogue on a series of photographic portraits,shot by photographer Josh Olins in the Norfolk countryside.Two of the photographic portraits of The Duchess will be available for public view in Vogue 100:A Century of style from Sunday May 1.The full portfolio shoot will feature in the June centenary issue of British Vogue,available on news stands and to download on Thursday 5 May.A spokesperson for the Duchess said ''Since 1916,Vogue has been a leading champion of British portraiture.The Duchess was delighted to play a part in celebrating the centenary of an institution that has given a platform to some of the most renowned photographers in this country's history.She is incredibly grateful to the team at Vogue and at the NPG for asking her to take part''.Two of the images from the British Vogue shoot were installed this evening in the National Portrait Gallery's Vogue 100:A Century of Style.The Duchess will visit the exhibition on wednesdy 4 May and see the two portraits on display in the gallery for the first time''.More photos below.
