  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. 2 OF QUEEN ELIZABETH'S DRESSES,HER WEDDING & CORONATION DRESSES WILL BE ON DISPLAY FROM JULY-OCTOBER.{PHOTOS}.

                                                    Queen Elizabeth's wedding and coronation dresses will be displayed together for the first time ever at the Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace from 23 July to 2 October 2016 and at Windsor Castle from 17 September 201 to 8 January 2017,.Both dresses were designed by the great British couturier Sir Norman Hartnell.The wedding dress as pictured above was won by Princess Elizabeth for her marriage to The Duke of Edinburgh on 20 November 1947.When commissioned to design the dress,Sir Norman Hartnell set out to produce the most beautiful dress i had so far made.In 1947 Britain was still subject to rationing,so the Princess collected clothing coupons to pay for the dress.The Coronation dress as pictured below,was by Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953.The dress is made of the finest white duchess satin,embroidered with national and Commonwealth floral emblems in gold and silver thread,encrusted with seed pearls,sequins and crystals.More photos below.
