 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting.                                                     Queen Elizabeth's wedding and coronation dresses will be displayed together for the first time ever at the Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace from 23 July to 2 October 2016 and at Windsor Castle from 17 September 201 to 8 January 2017,.Both dresses were designed by the great British couturier Sir Norman Hartnell.The wedding dress as pictured above was won by Princess Elizabeth for her marriage to The Duke of Edinburgh on 20 November 1947.When commissioned to design the dress,Sir Norman Hartnell set out to produce the most beautiful dress i had so far made.In 1947 Britain was still subject to rationing,so the Princess collected clothing coupons to pay for the dress.The Coronation dress as pictured below,was by Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953.The dress is made of the finest white duchess satin,embroidered with national and Commonwealth floral emblems in gold and silver thread,encrusted with seed pearls,sequins and crystals.More photos below.
