 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 69 FAMILY MEMBERS OF BOKO HARAM,ESCAPED FROM SAMBISA FOREST EARLIER TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

               Today wednesday,in the early hours troops of 81 Battalion and 251 Task Force Battalion deployed at an Observation Post sighted a group of persons approaching its Check Point at Liwanto village along Damboa-Bulabuli n road,Borno State.On arrival,they were received and treated humanely based on International Humanitarian Laws and Rules of Engagement.On preliminary investigation,it was discovered that the 69 of them were indeed family members of Boko Haram terrorists escaping from Sambisa.Out of that number,7 of them are men,18 women,7 grown up boys and 37 children.At the initial state of interrogation,they claimed to have escaped from Boko Haram terrorists captivity at Ngwalimari village in Sambisa forest general area.But further interrogation revealed otherwise.The troops recovered 15 bicycles,5 Dane Guns and other personal effects from them.Further and thorough investigation is ongoing to ascertain other information from them-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.
