 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court.                Today wednesday,in the early hours troops of 81 Battalion and 251 Task Force Battalion deployed at an Observation Post sighted a group of persons approaching its Check Point at Liwanto village along Damboa-Bulabuli n road,Borno State.On arrival,they were received and treated humanely based on International Humanitarian Laws and Rules of Engagement.On preliminary investigation,it was discovered that the 69 of them were indeed family members of Boko Haram terrorists escaping from Sambisa.Out of that number,7 of them are men,18 women,7 grown up boys and 37 children.At the initial state of interrogation,they claimed to have escaped from Boko Haram terrorists captivity at Ngwalimari village in Sambisa forest general area.But further interrogation revealed otherwise.The troops recovered 15 bicycles,5 Dane Guns and other personal effects from them.Further and thorough investigation is ongoing to ascertain other information from them-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
