 Zango Kataf, Jaba PDP Committees Hold Reconciliation Meeting Ahead Of 2027 Elections The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committees in Zango Kataf and Jaba Local Government Areas have held a strategic reconciliation meeting aimed at strengthening party unity and positioning the party for success in the 2027 general elections. The meeting, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Jaba Local Government Area, was jointly chaired by the PDP Chairmen of Jaba and Zango Kataf LGAs, Sabastine David Bijiri and Martins Markus Koyah. It brought together party executives, stakeholders, ward officials, elders, youth and women leaders, as well as members from both local government areas. Speaking at the meeting, the Zango Kataf PDP Chairman commended party leaders and members for supporting the zoning of the party’s House of Representatives ticket to Zango Kataf Local Government Area. 69 FAMILY MEMBERS OF BOKO HARAM,ESCAPED FROM SAMBISA FOREST EARLIER TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

               Today wednesday,in the early hours troops of 81 Battalion and 251 Task Force Battalion deployed at an Observation Post sighted a group of persons approaching its Check Point at Liwanto village along Damboa-Bulabuli n road,Borno State.On arrival,they were received and treated humanely based on International Humanitarian Laws and Rules of Engagement.On preliminary investigation,it was discovered that the 69 of them were indeed family members of Boko Haram terrorists escaping from Sambisa.Out of that number,7 of them are men,18 women,7 grown up boys and 37 children.At the initial state of interrogation,they claimed to have escaped from Boko Haram terrorists captivity at Ngwalimari village in Sambisa forest general area.But further interrogation revealed otherwise.The troops recovered 15 bicycles,5 Dane Guns and other personal effects from them.Further and thorough investigation is ongoing to ascertain other information from them-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.
