 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East.               The EFCC today monday June 20,2016,arraigned Favour Omeigba Bello {F} before Justice {Prof} Chuka Augustine Obiozor of the Federal High Court of Lagos State,Ikoyi on 3 count charge bordering on attempt to export counterfeit,Possession of counterfeit and forgery.The accused,Bello was arrested by officials of the NDLEA on January 16,2016 at the Murtala Muhammed Internationall Airport,Ikeja,Lagos,during the outward clearance of passengers on Ethiopian Airline to Dubai and was later transferred t the EFCC for further investigation.Favour was alleged to have in her possession as at the time of arrest Two Hundred and Ninety Eight pieces counterfeited Traveler's cheques of various foreign banks,one Green Nigerian passport number A06961064 belonging to Aluya Mary Jennifer,one Green Ghanaian passport number G0843377 belonging to Koffi Nicole,one Driver's Licence bearing the name Okeke Charles,one National Identity card bearing the name Aluya Mary Jennifer,all concealed in three hard cover children drawing/picture book.More photos below.
