  The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to hold an emergency meeting to address the uncertainty surrounding the future of Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle. According to sources, Chelle is considering terminating his contract as the team's manager. The development comes amidst Nigeria's struggles to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With only seven points from six games, the Super Eagles are currently fourth in Group C, behind leaders South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic. Pressure has been mounting on Chelle, prompting him to travel to Europe in search of reinforcements to bolster the team's defense. However, the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team has reportedly led to a change of heart, with Chelle now considering terminating his contract. BOXING-CHAMPION MOHAMMED ALI IS ON LIFE SUPPORT MACHINE,AS DOCTORS WARNED HIS END MIGHT BE NEAR.

                     According to sources,the children of Boxing star Mohammed Ali have  rushed to be at his bedside as doctors treating the former heavy-weigh champion have told them they fear he ''Is near the end''.Already four of the 74 year old's nine children,including daughter Laila,Hana and Maryum,are at the hospital in the Phoenix area where medics continue to fight a breathing problem picked up by the star.The childremn flew in last night from around the US as doctors said the future survival of Mohammed Ali was ''Uncertain.Although there was discussions about transporting him to another area of the hospital,sources claimed doctors decided the move ''potentially could be deadly'' and the transfer was called off.Sources close to the star say Ali's battle with his respiratory problem has been complicated by the Parkinson's that he was diagnosed with in the 1980s.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
