 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. EGYPT AIR CANCELLED THEIR FLIGHTS TODAY,AFTER A TIP OFF THAT A BOMB WAS PLANTED IN THEIR AIRCRAFT.

               Today wednesday morning,Egypt Air flight from Cairo to Bangkok was cancelled,after a three hour delay.The takeoff was delayed while the airline searched the aircraft and passengers informed the passengers that they received a report that a bomb was planted on the aircraft.An Egypt Air statement published today wednesday said the flight was held while security procedures were carried out following a bomb scare.The statement said a security threat had been posed to Flight 960 flying from Caro to Bangkok,which was scheduled to take off on Tuesday night at 22.30 pm,local time.The threat transpired to be false,but the flight was cancelled.The aircraft was rescheduled to fly a different route,and the 226 passengers due to take the flight to Bangkok were transferred to a hotel near the airport.The passegers will make the journey on the next flight out of Egypt to their destination.
