 Army sergeant’s wife deported to Honduras amid Trump administration’s immigration crackdown on military families The wife of an Army sergeant and mother of a 6-year-old was deported to Honduras Monday, as the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown increasingly affects spouses and parents of active-duty military personnel. Army Sgt. Hedar Leonel Turcios Juarez confirmed that his wife, Cristy Maryori Villafranca Trejo, had been deported. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Villafranca outside a Walmart in July while the couple’s young daughter was present, according to her husband. Villafranca had left Honduras in 2016 because of violence, he said. Turcios Juarez came to the United States from Honduras in 2014 for similar reasons. After attending high school in the U.S., he joined the Army and became a U.S. citizen in 2024 following a nine-month deployment to the Middle East.                World Health Organization {WHO announced that after 42 days without a confirmed case of the Ebola virus in the West African nation that it can be considered free of the virus.According to Dr Alex Gasasira,WHO's representative in Liberia said that ''WHO commends Liberia's government and people on their effective response to this recent re-emergence of Ebola...WHO will continue to support Liberia in its effort to prevent,detect and respond to suspected cases''.One more photo below.
