 BREAKING NEWS ANAMBRA POLICE RECORD FURTHER BREAKTHROUGH IN OGIDI, RECOVER MORE ARMS In continuation of an earlier operation by Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Awkuzu, which led to the arrest of three suspects and recovery of arms in Ogidi on 21st March 2026, the Anambra State Police Command has recorded further breakthrough following sustained investigation and interrogation. The Operatives made additional progress with the arrest of the suspected ringleader of the syndicate, one Chukwuka Anene ‘M’, aged 46 years, who confessed to being the armourer of the gang. The suspect subsequently led Police operatives to the gang’s hideout in Ogidi, where the following items were recovered: two pump-action guns, two locally made Beretta pistols, five rounds of 9mm ammunition, seven live cartridges, a beret linked to a cult group, and body armour.                  President Muhammadu Buhari,returned from London today sunday at about 5.32pm     where he was greeted by Members of the Federal Executive Council,Service Chiefs,Chief of Staff to the President,Abba Kyari and Inspector General of Police,Solomon Arase,were among those who welcomed him.Others at the airport were Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara,Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi and other government functionaries.Presidential Guards of Honour was also mounted by the Guards Brigade to welcome the president back home.President Buhari left Abuja on June 6 for a short vacation in London,where he used the opportunity to seek medical attention from a specialist on Ear,Nose and Throat {ENT} for treatment of a persistent ear infection.Welcome back Mr President.One more photo below.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
