 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.                  Pastor Kumuyi of Deeper Life Bible Church,who visited Warri for one day programme tagged ''Following a Life Transforming Example'',said the situation in the volatile oil-rich region should not be a win win affairs''.During the programme which was organised by the Deeper Life Bible Church at the Warri township stadium,Kumuyi said ''The solution to the crisis in the Niger Delta is dialogue.Stakeholders should reason together and see a way forward instead of accusing each other.What we are interested in is how to solve the problem;what are the expectations of both sides so that we can move forward.President Buhari has another three years in office,sometimes it depends on somebody's approach,so let us not build the evaluation on his one year in office.Nigerians believe we could have achieved something better than where we are presently as a country.I do hope we are not going to remain in our present position' we want to move forward as a nation and that is what people are saying.I join our people to say the economy is sliding,but i know that our country is going to move forward from where we are now with prayers and with us being responsible''.One more photo below.
