 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

                   Acting President Yemi Osinbajo disclosed this information today thursday that the President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his medical vacation by five days and will be back to the country on sunday.While addressing State House Correspondents he said ''Buhari will resume in his office on monday morning.The President will be back on sunday.I spoke with him yesterday evening and i think it is just the best that he takes the weekend off.He will certainly be back on sunday.I think the most straight forward thing is when he will be back.He will be back on sunday.There is no point rushing back on friday or something like that.He will just take the weekend off and be back on sunday.He is in perfect health and ready to resume work on monday morning.Mr President is in good condition he is fine,he is very well.He should take a day or two off in London and rest a bit and come back hale and hearty o sunday and be ready for work on monday.So we expect him back on sunday''.More photos below.

 How Suspected Phone Snatchers Killed Army Lieutenant In Kaduna  An army officer identified as Lieutenant IM Abubakar has reportedly been hacked to death by a gang that specialises in phone snatching and other crimes. The deceased was killed in the Unguwan Sarki area of Kaduna metropolis during the week. A popular counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a Twitter post. Makama described Abubakar as a talented officer.  He said, “Lt IM Abubakar(Isa) A Young Talented Army Officer Was Killed By Phone Snatchers on His Way Home In Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna. May his soul rest in peace.”
