 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.                    Acting President Yemi Osinbajo disclosed this information today thursday that the President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his medical vacation by five days and will be back to the country on sunday.While addressing State House Correspondents he said ''Buhari will resume in his office on monday morning.The President will be back on sunday.I spoke with him yesterday evening and i think it is just the best that he takes the weekend off.He will certainly be back on sunday.I think the most straight forward thing is when he will be back.He will be back on sunday.There is no point rushing back on friday or something like that.He will just take the weekend off and be back on sunday.He is in perfect health and ready to resume work on monday morning.Mr President is in good condition he is fine,he is very well.He should take a day or two off in London and rest a bit and come back hale and hearty o sunday and be ready for work on monday.So we expect him back on sunday''.More photos below.
