 FG reaffirms commitment to North-East inclusion in Agro-Industrial Project amid exclusion claims The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has dismissed concerns raised by the North-East Caucus of the National Assembly regarding the alleged exclusion of the region from the Federal Government's flagship agricultural initiative the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zone (SAPZ) program. The minister of agriculture and food security Sen. Abubakar Kyari made the clarification over the weekend while briefing the media. He noted that the North-East is not only included in the SAPZ program, but that several states from the region have already met the eligibility criteria for the second phase of the project. The response comes on the heels of public criticisms sparked by the recent groundbreaking ceremonies in Kaduna and Cross River states. ZIMBABWE'S WILDLIFE AUTHORITY,SUSPENDS ITS D.G OVER MISSING RHINO HORNS.

                              Zimbabwe's wildlife authority has suspended its director-general over missing rhino horns.The authority is investigating the disappearance of 228 kg of the agency's stored rhino horn.In a statement released today tuesday by the Zimbabwe Parks and Authority,Edson Chidziya had been sent on leave with full pay to facilitate the investigation.''The move has been taken to allow for an audit.This follows anomalies in the rhino horn stock piles amounting to 228 kilogrammes''.Zimbabwe keeps in storage 70 tonnes of ivory from elephants and rhinos-worth at least $35 million and is seeking support from neighbouring countries to engage in international trade in ivory.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
