 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. 2 PEOPLE WERE MISTAKENLY HIT BY A BULLET FROM A GUN AT THE LAGOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,TODAY.

                   Today friday,two persons were injured at the General Aviation Terminal of the Murtala Muhammed Airport,Lagos when the gun carried by a man identified as an orderly to a senator accidentally discharged on him and a woman as he tried to remove the magazine.The orderly who was to travel on Arik Air and wanted to lodge his gun,which is a standard practice on air travel,but the gun released a bullet that splinted and hit both the man and woman on the leg as he bent down to pull the magazine out of the gun.According to The Nation,the two people were taken to hospital at the airport.Source hinted that they trekked out of the terminal to the vehicle that took them to the hospital.The General Manager,Public Affairs of FAAN,Mr. Yakubu Dati,who confirmed the incident,said what happened is an accident and added that stowing the gun away with its magazine is standard procedure.He said guns are not taken on-board aircraft as standard aviation practice.They are usually checked in the luggage compartment.Dati assured air travellers that all the airports are safe and secure and recognition of the security challenges in the country and in the world,security at the nation's airport has been fortified.One more photo below.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her. Namtira said if the school authorities fail to sanction the student bullies within 48 hours of the receipt of the letter, she would seek immediate and severe legal redress against the school.
