In a significant diplomatic engagement, The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM., received a courtesy visit from Ambassador Bankole Adeoye, the Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace & Security of the African Union Commission, today April 4th 2025, at the IGP’s Smart Conference Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Samuel Victor Makwe, a representative from the Embassy of Nigeria in Addis Ababa, and other African Union (AU) officials. During the visit, Ambassador Adeoye expressed his appreciation for the distinguished service rendered by the Nigeria Police Force, particularly highlighting their exemplary professionalism and competence in peacekeeping operations in Somalia.
