 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower.                          Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama,Abuja has adjourned till monday,October 10,2016 for the continuation of trial in the prosecution of erstwhile Chief of Defense Staff,Alex Badeh.One of the offences for which Badeh is being prosecuted by the EFCC alongside Iyalikam Nigeria Limited is for allegedly abusing his office by using the dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.4billion {One Billion,One Hundred Million Naira}.removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase properties in choice areas of Abuja between January and December,2013 an offence which contravenes Section 15 {2} {d} of the Money Laundering {Prohibition},Act,2011} {as amended} and punishable under section 15 {3} of the same Act.The trial will run concurrently for three days till wednesday,October 12,2016.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
