M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Moshood hails from Ilorin South of Kwara State,a proud holder of B.Sc in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria,Kaduna State.He was once a Police Public Relations Officer Federal Capital Territory Abuja Command,the position which earned him Commissioner of Police commendation letters for diligent and excellent performance.He attended several courses within and outside the Country few of which are Crime Prevention of Korea Police,At Police Training Institut,Seoul South Korea,Training Course on Anti-Hojacking Techniques and Tactics for Developing Countries at Special Police Academy,Beijing,China.He is also a member of Africa Business School Abuja and Associate Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.The officer has served in various capacities in the Nigeria Police Force as DPO Central Area Abuja between 2012-2013 among others,until his recent appointment was the Chief Superintendent of Police in charge Department of Finance and Administration,FCT Abuja.He has since assumed duty as the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer for the Nigeria Police.
