 NAFDAC Reopens Onitsha Drug Market After Month-Long Closure The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reopened the Onitsha Head Bridge drug market, popularly known as 'Ogbo Ogwu', after a month-long closure for sanitization and regulatory enforcement. The market was shut down as part of NAFDAC's nationwide clampdown on fake and substandard medicines. To prevent a recurrence of the issues that led to the closure, NAFDAC has implemented strict administrative conditions for reopening. Shop owners are required to complete documentation and clearance procedures before their shops can be unsealed. A dedicated NAFDAC desk has been established to facilitate the process efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.² According to NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, only shops that meet the conditions will be allowed to resume operations. MERCEDES-BENZ,HAS REVEALED ITS SELF DRIVING 'FUTURE BUS',#NO DRIVER.[PHOTOS}.

                   Mercedes-Benz has revealed its self-driving 'future bus' which it says will be the local public transport of the future.The bus runs without the need for a driver.It uses Daimler's City Pilot technology which includes 10 cameras and long and short-range radar systems which help the bus to find its position on the road,and interact with its surroundings.The City Pilot technology integrates the bus with the city's traffic light systems network and has an automatic braking system.The bus will be divided into three zones-a 'service zone' at the front,an 'express zone' in the middle for passengers travelling short distances,and a 'lounge zone' at the back for those staying on for a longer stay.The bus has been tested on a 12 mile {20km} route through Amsterdam in the Netherlands,where it performed without any problems-although there was a driver in the place in case of emergency.More photos below.                                                                                                                                                        NO DRIVER.{PHOTOS

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
