 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR NNPC,WAS APPROVED BY PRESIDENT BUHARI TODAY.

              Today monday,President Muhammadu Buhari issued a statement through Femi Adesina,Special Adviser {Media and Publicity} to the President,that the President has approved the composition of Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation {NNPC},as provided for under Section 1 {2} of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Act of 1997,as amended.The new board is composed of the following.
{A}. Chairman-Dr Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu,Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum.
{B} Group Managing Director-Dr Maikanti Kacalla Baru,
{C} The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance; and
{D} The following six Persons
1. Mallam Abba Kyari
2.Dr Thomas M.A John
3.Dr Pius O. Akinyelure
4.Dr Tajuddeen Umar
5.Mallam Mohammed Lawal,and
6.Mallam Yusuuf Lawal.

President Buhari urges the new board to ensure the successful delivery of the mandate of the NNPC ''and serve the nation by upholding the public trust placed on them in managing this critical national asset''.
