 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.               Today monday,President Muhammadu Buhari issued a statement through Femi Adesina,Special Adviser {Media and Publicity} to the President,that the President has approved the composition of Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation {NNPC},as provided for under Section 1 {2} of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Act of 1997,as amended.The new board is composed of the following.
{A}. Chairman-Dr Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu,Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum.
{B} Group Managing Director-Dr Maikanti Kacalla Baru,
{C} The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance; and
{D} The following six Persons
1. Mallam Abba Kyari
2.Dr Thomas M.A John
3.Dr Pius O. Akinyelure
4.Dr Tajuddeen Umar
5.Mallam Mohammed Lawal,and
6.Mallam Yusuuf Lawal.

President Buhari urges the new board to ensure the successful delivery of the mandate of the NNPC ''and serve the nation by upholding the public trust placed on them in managing this critical national asset''.
