 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.                   The EFCC has called on Nigerian students to buy into the war against corruption,economic and financial crimes in Nigeria.The plea was made today,July 12,2016,when National Association of Management and Business Administration Students,Adamawa State University,Mubi,Adamawa state,paid the Commission a courtesy call at the EFCC Academy,Karu,Abuja.The Commandant of the Academy who was represented by Abiodun Adebanjo,welcomed the students and told them that the Commission has the mandate of Preventing,Investigating and Prosecution of all cases of economic and financial crimes in Nigeria.Head,Enlightenment and Re-orientation Unit,who was represented by Zainab .B. Tifi explained that the unit is responsible for preventive mandate of the Commission and this mandate is carried out by sensitizing the publics on the ills of corruption by enlightenment and re-orientation of the masses through a well designed programmes meant for different categories of people in Nigeria.Francis Micheal who led the students,expressed appreciation to the Commission for giving the students the needed information required to make them better future leaders of this country.
