 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. THE NIGERIAN ARMY,SYMPATHIZE WITH THEIR WOUNDED COLLEAGUES,UN & OTHERS,WHO WERE AMBUSHED BY BOKO HARAM TODAY.{READ}.

                 It was reputed today that Nigerian troops returning from Bama on humanitarian escort duty,were ambushed enroute Maiduguri by suspected remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hiding in Meleri village,a few kilometres from Kawuri.The gallant troops however,successfully cleared the ambush and exploited up to Afunori.Unfortunately,2 soldiers and 3 civilians were wounded in the ambush,among whom were staff of the United Nations agencies and other international humanitarian organizations.The wounded have been evacuated to University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital,Maiduguri and they are in stable condition.The Nigerian Army wishes to sympathize with wounded colleagues,the united nations and other Non-governmental organizations whose personel were also injured in this sad incident.We wish to reiterate our determination and commitment of ensuring safety and security in the North East and safeguarding the lives of all persons.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.
