STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi. As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child. I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them. Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour. My prayers are with the family. According to CCTV,8 {Eight} Egyptian female television presenters have been suspended by the state run broadcaster for being overweight,sparking an uproar among women rights groups.According to The Telegragh,the Egyptian Radio and Television Union {Ertu} suspended the eight women for one month,saying they are too overweight to appear on camera.According to local media,the eigth were instructed to lose weight before they can appear on camera again.The Telegraph reports that the Egyptian broadcaster,The Ertu,told local media the decision would not be reversed,but that he women would continue to be paid during their suspension.Reda Eldanbouki,head of NGO Women's Centre for Guidance and Legal Awareness said the suspension of the eight women and is abusive towards them,'' Mr Eldambouki told the Guardian
