  Hackers Steal $500,000 from Pensioners in Australia Cyberattacks Australia's largest pension funds have suffered a wave of coordinated cyberattacks, compromising over 20,000 member accounts and resulting in financial losses, including the theft of A$500,000 from four individuals. Hackers reportedly targeted major funds such as AustralianSuper, Australian Retirement Trust, Rest, Insignia, and Hostplus—collectively managing more than A$873 billion in retirement savings. AustralianSuper, which oversees A$365 billion for 3.5 million members, confirmed that about 600 accounts were breached using stolen login credentials.

                                   Former Chairman of Bagoro Local Government Area of Bauchi State,Andrew Adamu,on August 15,2016,refunded the sum of N5,000,000.{Five Million Naira}to the EFCC Gombe zonal office.He had earlier made a refund of One Million Naira {1,000,000.00} out of the Twelve Million,and Sixty Thousand Naira {N12,060,000.00} that was disbursed to the local government area in the build-up to the 2015 presidential election.Adamu admitted to the zonal office of the Commission during interrogation that he signed and collected the said amount in the presence of Hon. Marcus Bulus Makama, a current member of the the Bauchi State House of Assrmbly and former caretaker chairman of the local government,Mrs Hasanna Arkila who signed as witnesses for the collection of the amount.All the suspects reported to the zonal office of the Commission,and agreed to return the money to the Commission.
