 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. EFCC QUIZZES ''FUNAAB'' VICE CHANCELLOR TODAY.#ABUSE OF OFFICE & MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS.

                                         The Vice Chancellor,Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta,FUNAAB,Professor Olusola Oyewole alongside the University Bursar,Mr Moses Ilesanmi are being quizzed at the Iyaganku office of the EFCC Ibadan today,August 17,2016 in respect of an alleged case of Abuse of Office and misappropriation of funds reported against the Management,the University Pro Chancellor and some members of the Governing Council.According to a petition submitted to the EFCC by the Concerned Stakeholders of the Federal University of Agriculture,it was alleged that the Pro Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor engaged in an unbridled corruption and betrayal of public trusts.The duo are still being interrogated and have made useful statements that will help the EFCC operatives get through a diligent investigation into matter.Details later.
