 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University.                            In order to keep the public informed of its activities especially as regards to the fight against terrorism and insurgency,the Nigerian Army has produced six parts documentaryof thirty minutes each which is scheduled to be broadcasted on Nigerian Television Authority {NTA}as follows:

1. Monday 1st August 2016 from 2230-2300hrs {10.30-11.00pm}Episode I-The Accomplishment of a Presidential Mandate {Restoration of Normalcy}.

2. Thursday 4th August from 1830-1900hrs {6.30-7.00pm}.Episode II-Rising To The Challenges of a Presidential Mandate {Turning The Tide Against Boko Haram Terrorists} Part 1.

3. Saturday 6th August 1430-1500hrs {2.30-3.00pm}. Episode III which is Part 2 of Episode 11.Please tune in and see how the Nigerian Army is doing the nation proud;by defeating Boko Haram terrorists and defending our territorial integrity.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
