 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. GOVERNOR AMBODE,APPOINTS 5 NEW PERMANENT SECRETARIES TODAY.

                 The Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwun,i Ambode has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries and Tutor General in the State Public Service in furtherance of his administration's commitment towards strengthening the State Public Service for improvements in public service delivery.A statement issued on Monday by the Office of the State Head of Service,Mrs Olabowale Ademola listed the new Permanent Secretaries as Mrs Florence Ebunoluwa Oluwasuji who is now the Permanent Secretary/Tutor General,Education District V; Dr. Shamsideen Olalekan Allison,Permanent Secretary,Lagos State Primary Health Care Board {PHCB}; Engr Saliu Abidemi Adeyemi who takes over as the Permanent Secretary,Ministry of the Environment; Mr Senayon Adeola Hundeyin,Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Home Affairs and Mrs Yetunde Adefolahan Odejayi,Permanent Secretary,Deputy Governor's Office.Ademola wished the new Permanent Secretaries a rewarding and impactful tenure and also enjoined all Public Servants to accord them the deserved recognition and support required in their new responsibilities.The statement noted further that the appointments are with immediate effect.
