 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. HAJJ 2016: LAGOS BEGINS AIRLIFT OF PILGRIMS FROM AUGUST 16.

                    Lagos State Government has announce that intending pilgrims for the Y2016 pilgrimage in the Kinddom of Saudi Arabia will be airlifted from Lagos as scheduled by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria {NAHCON} on August 16,17 and 18 respectively.The State's Amir Hajj and Commissioner for Home Affairs,Dr AbdulHakeem AbduLateef made the disclosure in Alausa during a stakeholders meeting with the staff of State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,adding that intending pilgrims would be notified of their traveling dates by their coordinators through text messages.While reminding the pilgrims to stay away from all items prohibited and banned by the Saudi Arabian Government,AbdulLateef warned that the State Government will not tolerate any act of lawlessness and disobedience that may tarnish the image of Lagos State in particular and Nigeria in general.He charged them to be good representatives of the State as well as be patient with their assigned coordinators and pilgrim officials on specified duties in order to ensure a hitch-free hajj operation,saying that '' No one is perfect; these representatives are human beings and could make mistakes sometimes,please bear with them and forgive them,only Allah is perfect''.One more photo below.
