NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. The Philippines Jail built to hold 800 inmates,brimming with 3,800 inmates Quezon City Jail near the country's capital city Manila must be one of the Most congested jails in the world.Photographer Noel Celis of AFP exposed the overcrowding in the jail with his photos.However,AFP reports that the Philippines government is preparing new facilities in other areas.Philippines has recently embarked on the president's anti-drug campaign which has led to the arrest and death of many drug dealers.Phelim Kine,the deputy Asia Director at Human Rights Watcg to the Rime said ''There has been a sharp increase in suspected drug dealers and users who are surrendering themselves to authorities because they are afraid they are going to get killed next...They actully see prison as a safe haven''.More photos below.
