 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. MEN IN IRAN POST PHOTOS OF THEMSELVES WEARING THE HIJAB,TO PROTEST AGAINST THE COMPULSORY WEARING OF IT.{PHOTOS}.

                   According to sources,men in Iran have been posing pictures of themselves wearing the hijab on social media to protest compulsory hijab.The harsh tag #MenInHijab was coined by an Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad calling on male compatriots to share their photos in support.Alinejad was exiled today in New York in 2014,called on his more than a million followers on facebook to support the movement,and they have responded in many numbers. The journalist was protesting the statement by head of Iranian diplomacy,Mohammed Javad Zarif,who told a French senator that when tourists are visiting Iran mus have compulsory veil according to Jeune Afrique.Aliinejad started a movement 'My stealthy freedom'' which calls for the right for individual Iranian women to choose wgether they want hijab.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
