  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us.                                               Roshanara Ebrahim,Kenya's Miss World,has been stripped off her title and will not represent the country in the coming Miss World event.A Press release signed by the Miss World Kenya franchise holder and Ashleys CEO Terry Mungai read in part that ''A grave situation has come to our attention that is in breach of our code of conduct and our contract with the reigning  Miss World Kenya 2016 Roshanara.We uphold a strict code of conduct that expects beauty queens to manage their public and private life''.Then Roshanara after getting the news said ''It is with great sadness that i accept the decision of Miss World Kenya to relinquish me of my duties as Miss World Kenya 2016.I urge aspiring beauty queens to ensure their personal life does not affect their role as Miss World Kenya.I wish my successor the best as we look to clinching top position in the Miss World competition later in the year''.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
