 Alleged Defilement: Ogun Drops Charges Against School Proprietor, Cites Lack of Evidence …decries social media incitement against the accused, govt The Ogun State Government has decided not to press charges against the proprietor of Perfect Life School, Igode-Remo, Mr. Ashafa Samson Adelaja, over allegations of defilement. According to the state Ministry of Justice, following its findings after a thorough investigation of the allegations against Adelaja, the State Government, on Thursday, informed the Chief Magistrate sitting in the Sagamu Magisterial District that it would not be bringing any charges against him. Accordingly, Mr. Ashafa was unconditionally released from prison custody, according to a statement issued by the ministry. NEMA,ORGANISED A ROAD-WALK YESTERDAY TO MARK THE ''THE WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY''.{PHOTOS}.

                     Yesterday friday ''World Humanitarian Day,NEMA {National Emergency Management} organised an awareness Roadwalk with participation from many humanitarian stakeholders that include the Nigeria Police,OXFAM,UNHCR,UNOCHA,NESREA,NOA,NSCDC,FRSC,NAPTIP,HEritage bank and NASOW amongst others.The Vice President was represented by his adviser on IDPs Dr Femi Oke-Osayintolu and Deputy Inspector General of Police in-charge of Operations Mr Habila Joshak who represented the IGP led the Roadwalk with NEMA Director of relief and Rehabilitation Alhaji Aliyu Baffale Sambo.The take off was NEMA's Ambulance Bay beside the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the agency's headquarters in Maitama.Also on the procession were the Country Director of OXFAM Mr Jan Rogge,Humanitarian Ambassador and Nollywood Star Francis Duru.DG NEMA Alhaji Muhammad Sani Sidi OFR received the team on arrival where he also briefed the press on significance of the Day and its theme ''One Humanity''.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
