  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. NIGERIA POLICE DEBUNK THE STORY ''IGP IDRIS,ACCUSED OF MASSIVE LOOTING,VIOLATING OF PUBLIC TRUST''.

Image result for nigerian police logo                         The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to a report by Sahara Reporters,New York on Agust 266,2016 captioned Inspector General Idris accused of Massive looking,violation of public trust.
2. The Nigeria Police Force would ordinarily not join issues on news item that has no substance and completely false,but to put the record straight,the report was studied and all the allegations asserted against the Inspector General of Police,Ag. IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM,mni and the Nigeria Police Force in the write up were found out to be completely false,misleading and malicious in its entirety,and obviously the hand work of distractors and mischief makers,whose intention is to distract the Inspector General of Police from carrying out its statutory duties of ensuring that Nigeria is secured and crime free.
3. The Inspector Generak of Police,Ag. IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM,mni have served in various capacities within the Nigeria Police Force and International Communities without blemish.The IGP is focused and determined to accomplish his statutory responsibilities to all Nigerians and continue to serve his country and will not be distracted by distractors who take advantage of the media to launch a personal attack and campaign of calumny against his personality and the Nigeria Police Force.
4. The Nigeria Police Force wishes to enjoin members of the general public and other persons who must have read the report to disregard and discountenance tthe story as totally unfounded without any iota of truth.
5. The media,most especially the new/social media outfits are hereby implored not to allow malicious/mischief makers to take advantage of them to misinform and mislead the public.The Nigeria Police Force will continue to partner with the media,other stakeholders and the general public to ensure that Nigeria is safe for every Nigerian and visitors alike.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
