  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. OSCAR PISTORIUS,HAS BEEN PLACED ON A ROUND THE CLOCK SUICIDE WATCH,AFTER HE WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL.

                            Oscar Pistorius has been placed on a round the clock suicide watch after he was rushed to the hospital last week for sustaining injuries to his wrists.Pistorius was rushed to Pretoria's Kalafong Hospital last weekend but his family insisted it was not a suicide attempt but rather a very bad fall.City Press newspaper also reports that Pistorius has also lodged a complaint against a prison nursing staff whom he claims are trying to 'murder' him  with 'toxic medicine'.Pistorius was sentenced to six years in prison for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
