 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. SOME KEY LEADERS OF THE BOKO HARAM HAVE BEEN KILLED OTHERS FATALLY WOUNDED.-NIGERIAN ARMY.

                      In what one could describe as the most unprecedented and spectacular air raid,we have just confirmed that as a result of the interdiction efforts of the Nigerian Air Force,some key leaders of the Boko Haram terrorists have been killed while others were fatally wounded.The air interdiction took place last week friday 19th August 2016,while the terrorists were performing Friday rituals at Taye village,Gombale general area within Sambisa forest,Borno State.Those Boko Haram terrorists commanders confirmed dead include Abubakar Mubi,Malam Nuhu and Malam Hamman,amongst others.While their leader,so called ''Abubakar Shekau'',is believed to be fatally wounded on his shoulders.Several other terrorists were also wounded.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relation,
