 PRESS RELEASE  FG Commends  Diaspora Healthcare Professionals' Medical Missions to Nigeria  The Federal Government has commended efforts by diaspora based Nigerian healthcare professionals to improve healthcare in Nigeria, emphasizing it's crucial support to enhance its sustainability. Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare stated at the gala night of the just concluded Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA)  31st Annual Scientific Convention / 30 years anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. THE BAN ON RUSSIA TO COMPETE IN SOME SPORTS IN THIS 2016 OLYMPICS IN RIO,HAS BEEN LIFTED.

                Russia finally get the nod to compete in the 2016 Olympic s in Rio after ban is lifted on some sports people.270 Russians cleared to compete at Olympic Games and over 100 other Russian athletes banned from competing in th games in Rio Brazil.A three member International Olympics Committee panel made decision following an appeal by some Russian sports people.Those given the go ahead include 29 swimmers and canoeing world champion,17 Russian rowers among others.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
