 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. THE DEATH OF NUNUGWO:THISDAY LIED.-EFCC.

                           The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,has been drawn to the editorial of Thisday Newspaper of August 23,2016 titled ''The Death of Citizen Nugugwo''.The attempt by This day to call attention to the unfortunate incident of the sudden death of Nunugwo,a fraud suspect of the EFCC in the said editorial appears salutary,on the surface,as the public deserves to be properly informed on the circumstances leading to his death.The EFCC appreciates this fact,and has never shied away from sharing information regarding the sad occurrence with the public.The need for openness in the handling of the issue partly informed the decision of the Commission to announce the death and provided vivid account of the chain of events before and after his demise in a press statement on June 10,2016 by its spokesperson,Wilson Uwujaren.The EFCC has come clean on this matter and will welcome investigation by any agency as it has nothing to hide.
