 POLICE-LED SECURITY FORCE DISLODGE A CRIMINAL CAMP IN OGBUNKA: NOTES THAT THE JOINT SECURITY FORCE SHALL CONTINUE TO DENY UNREPENTANT CRIMINALS THE SPACE TO COMMIT HAVOC IN THE STATE The Police-led Joint Security Team comprising the Army, from the 302 Artillery Regiment (GS), Navy from the Naval Command, Department of State Security, Anambra State Vigilante, acting on information received over time dislodged a criminal Camp at Ogbunka.  The Joint Security Team in a six (6) hours gun battle with the armed criminals, due to its superior firepower diffused some explosives used as shields on the camp by the hoodlums. The team also recovered a lot of relief materials like pots, foodstuffs and parts of dismembered suspected stolen vehicles even as some of the criminals escaped with various degrees of bullet injuries inflicted on them.                          According to one of my reporter Chinenye Genevieve,who sent in this picture with the caption ''Two days ago,this man committed suicide after he lot N22 thousand Naira on a football bETS.It happened at Akwa Ibom state''.The rate at which people are committing suicide in Nigeria it is becoming too alarming.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
