  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. A TEACHER WAS ARRESTED AFTER HE GAVE A STUDENT $4,000 TO BUY WEED.{PHOTO}.

Lindsay Wildcat Academy,supposedly issued the beatdown after the student failed to return the $4,000 that he gave him to buy weed.The student told police that he met with a drug connect in June who wanted $7,000 for a pound of weed.Snice Pope only gave him $4,000 he spent the money and carried on with life.When Pope spotted the student walking near the school on wednesday September 21,he reportedly punched the boy multiple times,before jacking his iPhone,gold chain and wallet.He also threatened to beat the student up again,and rape his mother,accordingg to Assistant District Attorney Gerard Donahue.Meanwhile,Pope's attorney claims the boy actually stole the money from his client's briefcase.Sources further said ''Pope is currently awaiting arraignment on assault and robbery charges''.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
