 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS SET TO REPAIR ENUGU-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY.{READ}.

Image result for enugu -onitsha expressway                     Normally,it takes approximately an hour and thirty minutes to drive from Onitsha in Anambra State to Enugu,but presently,it takes more than four hours of torture according to sources to move from one end to the other.The government is considering awarding the reconstruction of the dual carriageway project to a competent construction firm under the Public Private Partnership,PPP,scheme and a reliable source who spoke to its correspondent revealed that the process to give the highway a face lift began at a meeting which recently held in Awka,the Anambra State capital,between the Minister of Works,Power and Housing,Mr Babbatunde Fashola and the Governor of Anambra State Dr Wilie Obiano in Awka.Mr Fashola while expressing concerns over the deplorable state of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway,it was learnt that he decided that Obiano should search for a very competent and reliable construction firm that can see to the rehabilitation works for possible approval.
