 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS SET TO REPAIR ENUGU-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY.{READ}.

Image result for enugu -onitsha expressway                     Normally,it takes approximately an hour and thirty minutes to drive from Onitsha in Anambra State to Enugu,but presently,it takes more than four hours of torture according to sources to move from one end to the other.The government is considering awarding the reconstruction of the dual carriageway project to a competent construction firm under the Public Private Partnership,PPP,scheme and a reliable source who spoke to its correspondent revealed that the process to give the highway a face lift began at a meeting which recently held in Awka,the Anambra State capital,between the Minister of Works,Power and Housing,Mr Babbatunde Fashola and the Governor of Anambra State Dr Wilie Obiano in Awka.Mr Fashola while expressing concerns over the deplorable state of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway,it was learnt that he decided that Obiano should search for a very competent and reliable construction firm that can see to the rehabilitation works for possible approval.
