  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osas’ properties. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS SET TO REPAIR ENUGU-ONITSHA EXPRESSWAY.{READ}.

Image result for enugu -onitsha expressway                     Normally,it takes approximately an hour and thirty minutes to drive from Onitsha in Anambra State to Enugu,but presently,it takes more than four hours of torture according to sources to move from one end to the other.The government is considering awarding the reconstruction of the dual carriageway project to a competent construction firm under the Public Private Partnership,PPP,scheme and a reliable source who spoke to its correspondent revealed that the process to give the highway a face lift began at a meeting which recently held in Awka,the Anambra State capital,between the Minister of Works,Power and Housing,Mr Babbatunde Fashola and the Governor of Anambra State Dr Wilie Obiano in Awka.Mr Fashola while expressing concerns over the deplorable state of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway,it was learnt that he decided that Obiano should search for a very competent and reliable construction firm that can see to the rehabilitation works for possible approval.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
