 PRESS RELEASE  FG Commends  Diaspora Healthcare Professionals' Medical Missions to Nigeria  The Federal Government has commended efforts by diaspora based Nigerian healthcare professionals to improve healthcare in Nigeria, emphasizing it's crucial support to enhance its sustainability. Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare stated at the gala night of the just concluded Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA)  31st Annual Scientific Convention / 30 years anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos. Looking back over ANPAs  30 years of existence, the Minister affirmed it's diligent and unwavering commitment to conducting medical missions to Nigeria, enhancing capacity building of Nigerian-based healthcare professionals, providing medical interventions to the less privileged and, donating materials to health facilities across Nigeria.                Am usually not in a hurry to break a news that i am not sure of i must investigate it before i publish.There is a new twist to the story of the woman who innocently posed in her wedding with a mannequin and it was assumed that she used the mannequin to represent her husband who is based abroad.The real truth behind this picture is that her husband was actually in the marriage and her cousin Ogo Marilyn OmoAfrica Anona who gave the update wrote ''About the photo that went viral .This is my cousin and her traditional wedding picture went viral yesterday...Well the picture started trending because people thought she was getting married to a mannequin and the husband was absent so the mannequin stood in his place.But that is not true..So to be clear eeh,Her husband was at the wedding in Person as the picture below depicts...The mannequin was just a decoration {I do know the purpose of that kind of deco}..And as part of the people that shared the picture {Without knowing she is my sister},I want to apologize to her for the hurt and pain this have caused her and other family members}.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
