 Three dead as gas explosion rocks Lagos Three persons have died as gas explosion rocked Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Tuesday afternoon. A 50kg Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cylinder was said to have exploded at the frontage of a row of shops at Abule Pan, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ibeju Lekki. The gas explosion occurred around 3:34pm on Tuesday. Loud bang was heard in the area with balls of fire enveloping the atmosphere, leading to pandemonium in the area when the gas explosion occurred. The Director/CEO, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, Margaret Adeseye in a statement said the explosion involved LNG (industrial gas) cylinder of about 50kg assembled at the frontage of a row of shops. Adeseye said the Lekki Phase II Fire Station of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services complemented by Health Environment officials, military officials, Federal Road Safety Corps officials and Ibeju Lekki Local Government joined hands to combat the inferno. Image result for 15th anniversary of 9/11                          America commemorated the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks today sunday with emotional services of remembrance in New York,Washington and Pennsylvania to honor those who perished in the world's deadliest terror strikes.On September 11,2001,19 Al-Qaeda operatives crashed four passenger jets into the Twin Towers in Manhattan,the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville,Pennsylvania,killing nearly 3,000 people and changing the world forever.President Barack Obama said no words or deeds could ever truly erase the pain of loss,but urged Americans to stand true to the nation's ideals and not allow group like Al-Qaeda and IS to divide the country.''It is so important today that we reaffirm our character as a nation.Our diversity,our patchwork heritage,is not a weakness.It is still and always will be one of our greatest strengths''.-he told a remembrance service at the Pentagon.More photos below.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
