 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A CROCODILE WAS CAPTURED ALIVE YESTERDAY & HAWKED AROUND FOR N50K AT IDEMILI,ANAMBRA STATE.{PHOTOS}.

                                                   Some people in the town of Oraukwu in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State caught this Crocodile in the river between Abatete Town and Oraukwu both in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.Instead of helping the poor creature back to it's habitat,they bound it's mouth and legs and started looking for buyers at the price of N50,000.According to sources ''I thought these creatures were sacred in those towns and killing them is forbidden.If it is true,does the custom allow selling them off?.Secondly,isn't it fair to consider the fact that this is part of the wildlife that makes up the fauna of the area and should be preserved?.Ndi Oraukwu,we need your clarifications on it''.One more photo below.
