  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. ARREST OF BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS COLLABORATORS.

          As part of measures to stem the tide of livestock rustling which serves as another means of funding Boko Haram terrorists activities,Operation LAFIYA DOLE,in conjunction with other security agencies has taken measures to stop the criminality.These measures have led to the arrest of some persons involved in aiding and abetting this heinous crime in the Theatre of Operation.So far,21 suspected persons have been arrested.Preliminary investigation and profiling of the suspects has commenced.Such actions by these unpatriotic elements are likely to jeopardize our collective efforts of clearing the remnants of Boo Haram terrorists in our country.Although investigations are ongoing,it is important to state that this is a warning to all those collaborators that aid and abet terrorism in the northeast generally and Borno State in particular to desist forthwith.The Nigerian Army and in deed Operation of LAFIYA DOLE would not tolerate such acts of sabotage from anybody.Meanwhile,the general public is hereby encouraged to report any known  or suspected illegality with regards  to Operation LAFIYA DOLE to the Security Agencies.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
