 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. BAN ON BURIALS IN BENIN IS STILL IN FORCE-BENIN TRADITIONAL COUNCIL.

Image result for oshiomhole                 According to sources,the Benin Traditional Council {BTC} yesterday thursday re-affirmed the earlier ban placed on burial ceremonies during the coronation activities of the new Oba of Benin,Omo N Oba N' Edo,Uku Akpolokpolo,Oba Ewuare.''The attention of the Benin Traditional Council has been drawn to an unauthorised press release issued by the Coronation planning Committee as it relates to burial ceremonies within the period of the coronation activities.For the avoidance of doubt,the Benin Traditional Council hereby use this medium to inform the general public that the post coronation ceremonies of His Royal Majesty,Omo N' Oba N' Edo ,Uku Akpolokpolo,Oba Ewuara 11,Oba of Benin ,is still on-going till December ending {31st December,2016} with Ekasa Dance,except the Oba directs it should end earlier.Consequently,prohibition of funeral activities is still in place,during the period of Ekasa performance.This information supersedes the earlier press statement made by the coronation planning committee.The general public should please take note and comply strictly with the prohibition order,'' BTC said in a statement signed by its Secretary,Frank Irabor.
